For the brown girls
who were taught to be strong before they were taught to be gentle.
For those who listen more than they speak,
who carry faith quietly,
and who walk into sacred cities not to be saved—
but to remember who they are.
For everyone who has ever stood at the edge of a river,
a decision, or a past
and chosen to stay.
And above all,
for Mahadev—
who waits without demanding,
and listens without interrupting.
